    A Vintage Dream Come True

    June 23, 2015

Today I joined Emma Griffin and her team at the stunning St Ives Harbour Hotel and Spa.  Whilst here I was to create a timeless vintage look for the incrdeible Rachel Egglestone-Evans, editor and creator of Vintage Life Magazine.

This fabulous and inspirational lady is an idol to anyone out there who has a dream and wants to make it a reality.

Her obsessive love for Vintage Style, was made a reality when Rachel put her love first and released her own magazine - Vintage Life, now a national best selling magazine.

The lovely and friendly Rachel arrived with husband Jon, where we all mingled over coffee,

dicsussing looks and locations for todays private and personal shoot.

Rachel went straight into hair by Kirsty from Number8 Salon Truro.

Kirsty styled Rachels hair into waves and with her dark brown bob, the look was already starting to take shape.

    Finally make up.....

I wanted to create Rachels dream look, of classic porcelain skin, soft sultry eyes and crimson red lips to complete this iconic vintage stlye.

For that porcelain look, I chose Chanel perfection lumiere foundation in shade 10 and finishing powder Chanel les beiges in shade 10,  giving a soft finish to perfect that doll face complexion!

To the eyes, one of my favourite eye palletes  - Chanel les 4 ombres Mystic eyes, this stunning pallete with 2 shades of brown and two highlighter shades in pink and silver is a must have smokey eye product, without being two heavy as there is no black. The dark brown is perfect for adding the interest and shadow, but keeping the eyes warm.

Lips had to be classic, 1920s matte red! I popped on Chanel rouge allure shade - Pirate a classic red lip!

To finish, a dusting of blush, using Mac blusher shade  - blush all day, this soft dusky rose added a natural wamrth to the cheeks.

Rachel looked the part elegant, classy, stunning and VINTAGE.
